Word-wrap around tables

I would LOVE it if you would add word-wrap capability around tables. As it is I have to insert a table into a text box to gain access to word-wrap. This just makes for more complex coding and seems completely unnecessary. Please add this feature!! Thanks

I've been thinking about it and I would like all the positioning capabilities of a text box for tables. This would include being able to create a blank margin around the box and captions below it. In text boxes the feature to which I refer is in the border/fill tool, advanced tab. One thing I notice now is when I insert a table in a text box to get this word wrap capability, the features in the text box advanced tab become unavailable. This is a problem that needs to be fixed

Hi, I am so glad you are considering my request. Sorry not to get back to you sooner I had a lot going on today. Anyway, I use tables ALL THE TIME in my writing. For decades at this point. And if there is a way to wordwrap around a table I cannot figure out how to do it so you need to make any existing feature more obvious. I do know I can position a table on a page, I do that all the time, but when I do wordwrap does not occur. I also use text boxes extensively, mostly to insert drawings with a little caption inside the lines. When I need to show two drawings with a line between them or when I don't want a table to take up the entire width of the page I create a table and insert it into the text box so I have access to word wrap. This can be tricky and is kind of a pain. I am envisioning tables that have the same sort of wordwrap capabilities that text boxes do now. I think this feature could be incorporated into the table format window, as a feature in the table tab, adjacent to the table position on the page, there is plenty of room there to add a pop up window called box position with the same choices as for a text box. Now I realize text boxes are inserted and tables are created and that might be some sort of programming difference which makes wordwrap for text boxes possible.

Does that make sense? I would be delighted to talk to someone directly about this issue, if that would be helpful. call me on my cell 503-944-9487. Would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Hi Anne, thanks for the great feedback! We are discussing your request today and would appreciate some further context. WordPerfect does have various forms of word-wrapping and perhaps we can help you out. Please let me know what exactly you're looking for and perhaps we can suggest a solution. If you want to attach a video, picture, text file, etc, you can. Thanks!
